This is a story of a 23months old boy from Dailekh district of western Nepal. Two years back, he was brought to Tilganga Eye Hospital, Kathmandu by his mother who noticed white reflex in one of his eyes. It had taken them two days of bus ride to reach Kathmandu and were staying in a nearby lodge. He was examined by Dr Purnima and diagnosed as having Retinoblastoma in both eyes, right eye more severe than the left eye and treatment was started immediately. He received systemic chemotherapy for six months along with treatment of better eye with laser TTT and enucleation (removal of eyeball) of right eye (Figure 1). The mother could not afford the long and expensive treatment while based in Kathmandu. His treatment at Tilganga was partially sponsored by a local fund. He then received a well -fitting custom made prosthesis sponsored by Open Eyes global, Australia.(Figure 2).  At present, he still needs four weekly treatment in his better eye in the form of laser TTT and intraocular chemotherapy, without which he may loose that eye to disease as well. Hence, he is in need of funding to be completely cancer free.
