Nijgadh awareness and Arclight program
Nijghad, February 28, 2025 – A specialized training program titled "Training on Use of Arclight for Diagnosis of Retinoblastoma" was successfully conducted at Nijghad Tilganga Samudayek Eye Hospital today. The event is orgamized by Open Eyes Nepal in association with Nijghad Tilganga Sanudayek Eye Hoapital. The event aimed to enhance the diagnostic skills of primary healthcare professionals in detecting retinoblastoma, a rare but serious eye cancer in children.
The training session saw the participation of 50 health workers from various medical backgrounds. Experts provided hands-on experience with Arklight, a portable and cost-effective tool designed for diagnosing eye diseases, including retinoblastoma, in resource-limited settings.
The event was graced by the Mayor of Nijghad Municipality, who attended as the chief guest. In his address, the Mayor emphasized the significance of early detection and timely intervention in preventing blindness and improving patient outcomes.
Organizers and participants expressed their commitment to utilizing the newly acquired knowledge in their respective healthcare centers, ensuring better eye care services in the community.
